We are seeking a FTI Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on design implementation, integration, configuration management, calibration, troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of Flight Test instrumentation systems and equipment. You will be part of the Flight Test Instrumentation team developing a state-of-the-art system supporting the Gen 6 eVTOL development and certification flight test program.

This is an onsite position based at our Hollister office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide inputs to all design activities related to FTI components and aircraft hardware interfacing with FTI.
  • Support flight operations ensuring FTI assets are prepared for testing.
  • Manage configuration of FTI equipment based on flight test requirements.
  • Support development of software tools for deployment, analysis, and configuration management.
Key Duties
  • Act as an FTI engineer for a novel aircraft targeting the autonomous UAM market.
  • Design and review FTI components and installation drawings.
  • Support flight and rig testing, maintaining FTI and data configurations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
  • Coordinate FTI equipment installation and support ATPS procedures.
  • Collaborate with IPTs and flight/test teams for efficient operations and data capture.
  • Plan and execute calibration and maintenance activities for FTI equipment, ensuring calibration validity and hardware/software management.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Engineering with at least 8 years of experience or Master's with 6 years.
  • At least 5 years in the aerospace industry working directly with flight test instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with complex aircraft systems design and configuration management.
  • Deep knowledge of data acquisition systems and sensors used in flight testing (e.g., accelerometers, pressure transducers, strain gauges, RVDT, string pots).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $171,063 - $201,250, with factors such as location and experience influencing the starting salary. Benefits include a competitive salary, bonus, long-term incentives, 401K, health benefits, and more.
