Job Summary

TalentWise LLC is building a pipeline of senior financial professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.

The Staff Financial Analyst performs advanced financial analysis and advisory work to support budgeting, fiscal policy, and strategic financial planning. This role provides expert analysis, recommendations, and guidance to leadership on complex financial matters, including capital planning, funding strategies, and policy development.

The position works closely with senior executives, elected officials, and stakeholders to support decision-making and ensure sound financial management of programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis and advisory support on budgeting, fiscal policy, and program planning
  • Analyze complex financial data and develop recommendations for leadership
  • Support development and implementation of capital improvement programs (CIP)
  • Evaluate funding strategies, including bonds, grants, and other financing mechanisms
  • Conduct research on fiscal policies, legislation, and economic impacts
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for senior leadership and governing bodies
  • Assist with budget development, monitoring, and compliance activities
  • Analyze and interpret financial trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop policy recommendations and support implementation of financial strategies
  • Coordinate with departments, stakeholders, and external partners on financial initiatives
  • Provide training and guidance on fiscal policies and budget processes
  • Support preparation of official financial documents and reports
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
  • Considerable experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or fiscal policy development
  • Strong knowledge of public sector budgeting, financial planning, and economic analysis
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop strategic recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for executive-level audiences
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Proficiency with financial systems, data analysis tools, and reporting software
