Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX seeks a technical leader for the Photolithography Scanner Equipment team to support 24x7 operations and drive equipment performance.

You will coordinate internal and vendor resources, troubleshoot defects, analyze tool data, and contribute to production goals. A deep background in ASML/Canon/Nikon equipment and wafer processing is required, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• 4 years of college in related field.
• 9+ years of semiconductor scanner equipment ownership.
• Experience on ASML, Canon or Nikon lithography equipment.
• Deep understanding of wafer processing and photolithography.

Responsabilidades

• Attend tactical meetings with ASML and internal teams about photolithography scanner equipment.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings regarding equipment metrics and improvement plans.
• Coordinate internal, external and vendor resources for optimum manufacturing support on equipment.
• Drive down and atypical tool recovery with hands-on engineering and maintenance activities.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and provide solutions to equipment-related defects, quality and yield issues.
• Analyze and report tool performance data (availability, MTTR, MTBF, defects).

Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC). The Photolithography department focuses on delivering solutions by developing 24x7x365 teams of elite, fab-oriented, excursion-free, safety and quality minded members. As part of the Photo Equipment Engineering team, you will work together to support one another and our customers regardless of organizational boundaries as a technical leader within the Samsung Photo Scanner team organization. One's knowledge must be extensive and specific to Scanner Photolithography Scanner Equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Attending and contributing in daily tactical meetings with ASML and internal teams about photolithography scanner equipment.
• Attending and contributing in weekly meetings with ASML and internal teams including strategic cross-functional meetings regarding equipment metrics and contribute to department and sites improvement plans.
• Coordinate Samsung internal, external and multiple vendor resources to provide optimum manufacturing support on assigned equipment.
• Drive hard down and atypical tool recovery efforts with hands on engineering and complex maintenance activities.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to equipment related defect, quality and yield problems.
• Analyze and report tool performance data, including availability, mean time to repair, mean time between failures, particle and defect trends, maintenance success, and similar metrics for assigned equipment.
• Prioritize your work in alignment with the photo departments level priorities, and understand your part in achieving company goals and assist other team members and areas when possible to help meet production goals.

Skills and Qualifications

• 4 years of college in related field.
• Requires 9+ years of semiconductor Scanner equipment ownership.
• In-depth experience on one or more of the following types of semiconductor equipment: ASML, Canon, Nikon.
• In Depth understanding of semiconductor wafer processing fundamentals and photolithography.
• Able to make technical level decisions and arguments.

The current base salary range for this role is between $131,000 - $174,500.

Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience.

Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
