Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Software Architect Engineer – Level 5 to join an IRAD team in a multi-site setting (Colorado springs, Boulder or Huntsville). The role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating advanced software systems with a strong emphasis on architecture, cohesion across subsystems, and collaboration with hardware teams.

Required are a STEM degree with 8–12+ years as described; ability to travel ~10%; current U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• Experience in software architecture and design.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Configuration management using Git/Bitbucket/JIRA.
