Job summary

Fruition Group US seeks a Robotics Navigation & Localization Engineer to enable humanoid robots to safely navigate industrial environments. You will own localization, mapping, sensor fusion and motion planning for robust real-world deployment.

You will fuse camera, depth, LiDAR, and IMU data, combining classical robotics with learned perception. Experience with SLAM, state estimation, and motion planning in industrial settings is essential.

About Us & The Role

We’re seeking a Robotics Navigation & Localization Engineer to develop the systems that enable humanoid robots to navigate industrial environments safely and reliably. You will own localization, mapping, sensor fusion and motion planning, combining classical robotics techniques with learned perception to support robust real-world deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop localization, SLAM, state estimation and mapping systems for real-world robotic platforms.
• Build navigation and motion-planning capabilities for dynamic, cluttered, human-occupied environments.
• Fuse camera, depth, LiDAR, IMU and odometry data to improve pose estimation and environmental awareness.
• Combine geometric methods with learned perception in collaboration with AI and machine learning teams.
• Debug deployed systems, improve robustness and validate performance in real-world environments.
• Collaborate with controls and hardware teams on sensor calibration, system integration and software interfaces.

Required Experience

• Proven experience developing SLAM, localization or navigation systems for deployed mobile robots.
• Strong understanding of state estimation, sensor fusion, optimization and 3D geometry.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python, with experience delivering reliable robotics software.
• Hands-on experience with cameras, depth sensors and LiDAR, including calibration.
• Experience with motion planning and taking robotics systems from development through field deployment.
• Humanoid, legged or other high-degree-of-freedom robotic platforms.
• Industrial environments such as factories and warehouses.
• Integration of classical robotics methods with learned perception.
• Multi-sensor calibration, temporal synchronization and real-time, safety-conscious system design.
