Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with backend ownership.
• Proven experience architecting billing, pricing, or quote‑to‑cash for SaaS.
• Strong API design, event‑driven data flow, and scale‑out thinking.

Responsibilities

• Shape Drata’s long‑term billing architecture and commercial flexibility.
• Design primitives of a modern billing platform: events, metrics, products, rates, contracts, credits, subscriptions.
• Ensure accurate metering, pricing changes, and scalable invoice workflows.
• Develop the entitlement layer separating pricing from product behavior.
• Collaborate with Finance, RevOps, and CRM systems for coherent quote‑to‑cash.
• Ensure reliability: idempotence, reconciliation, observability, and audits.
