Eli is hiring a Staff Engineer in San Francisco, with optional US-wide remote work. You’ll direct systems where money movement and AI-driven decisions matter most, while still contributing code weekly. The role emphasizes accountability, production impact, and working in a SOC2 audit environment.

You’ll collaborate with the cofounders and a small team of engineers to own end-to-end solutions—from verification to payments to reconciliation—delivering real customer value every day.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years building production software and accountability for system reliability.
• Staff-level scope or equivalent impact on design and production.
• Deep TypeScript on the backend (Bun/Node/Next.js) and solid relational DB skills (MySQL/Postgres).
• Proven track record taking on work outside your lane and finishing it.
• Nice to have: Payments, ledgers, or reconciliation; analytics tooling.

Aufgaben

• Define technical direction for ledger, decisioning, and platform evolution.
• Own product end-to-end: identify needs, build, monitor in production.
• Develop AI decision workflows and measure their effectiveness.
• Ensure money movement accuracy and audit readiness.
• Own internal tools and CI/production reliability.
• Improve platform and production throughput and reliability.
