Getinge in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Staff Packaging Engineer to lead packaging systems, sterile barrier solutions, and labeling across Cardiac Surgery and Vascular Intervention portfolios. You will drive development, validation, commercialization, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement while ensuring global regulatory compliance.

The role requires mentoring engineers, defining packaging standards, and partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to deliver robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging/engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of packaging engineering experience.
• Experience leading complex packaging programs from concept through commercialization.
• Strong influencing skills across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with ISO 11607, ISO 13485, FDA/ EU regulatory requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for packaging systems and sterile barrier solutions.
• Lead development, validation, and commercialization activities for new products and sustaining projects.
• Establish direction for packaging technologies, materials, validation, and standards.
• Mentor packaging engineers and cross-functional project teams.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to implement robust packaging solutions.
• Lead risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance across programs.
