Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose, CA is seeking a senior test engineer for NVMe SSD host interface firmware development. The role focuses on creating robust black-box test coverage and analyzing field issues to improve reliability.

You will debug, triage, and collaborate with the firmware team to reproduce problems and design experiments, leveraging Python, Bash, and Linux scripting skills while communicating clearly across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years in relevant field or Master's with 8+ years.
• Strong programming experience; scripting in Python, Bash, Linux shell.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop black-box functional test coverage and test methodologies for NVMe SSDs.
• Debug, triage failures and work with FW Team to reproduce problems, design and run experiments.
• Analyze customer field issues and improve Functional test coverage where gaps are identified.
