Job summary

Reflection AI Ltd. seeks a data-focused engineer to design and run large-scale multilingual data pipelines for language models. You will source, clean, deduplicate, and standardize multilingual data while ensuring high-quality corpora with robust evaluation metrics.

You will lead independent research tasks, collaborate across training teams, and help push the boundaries of multilingual AI capabilities in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Experience building large-scale data pipelines for language models or related domains
• Fluency or working proficiency in at least one language other than English
• Rigorous, measurement-first mindset
• Ability to navigate trade-offs between research goals and engineering practicality
• Comfort with ambiguity and high ownership in a small, fast-moving team

Responsibilities

• Design and operate large-scale multilingual data pipelines across high- and low-resource languages.
• Define and enforce quality bars for multilingual corpora including translation quality, cultural fidelity, toxicity, and contamination checks.
• Design and run experiments to improve multilingual data efficiency for language models.
• Lead small research projects independently while collaborating on larger initiatives.
• Build evaluation sets and diagnostics to identify degradation by language, register, or domain and close gaps with targeted data.
• Collaborate with pre-training, mid-training, and post-training teams to achieve measurable improvements in multilingual capability.
