Position Description

Our Staff Engineer is a key member of the engineering team working on Mobile/Web solutions to ensure a frictionless experience for our customers while maintaining high standards of protection and availability. The team thrives in delivering quality technology products in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge across front-end and back-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across multiple areas and mentor engineering teams.
• Own the complete solution lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to develop and communicate a clear vision.
• Ensure quality, usability, and performance of solutions.
• Lead design sessions and code reviews to improve engineering standards.
• Utilize programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart, Python, C#, SQL, and NoSQL databases; work with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes; and leverage Azure services.
• Mentor junior team members to help them grow professionally.
• Share best practices and improve processes across teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least two modern languages like Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart, Python, C++, or C# with object-oriented design experience.
• Experience building products with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and scaling systems, including architecture and reliability.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Azure, PowerShell scripting, and operational portals like Azure Portal.
• Understanding of security protocols such as Active Directory, SAML, OAuth.
• Familiarity with Azure networking, data structures, algorithms, and developer tooling.
• Experience with Android Studio, VS Code, or similar IDEs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Experience

• 6+ years in software development with Mobile and Web frameworks/languages.
• 4+ years working with open-source frameworks.
• 3+ years in architecture and design.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Salary Range

$75,000 - $260,000 annually, based on experience and other factors. Sponsorship for work authorization may be available.
