Job summary

GC AI is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Microsoft Office Integrations team, at the center of GC AI for Word—the AI copilot that lives where lawyers actually work.

You will craft the experience that lets in-house legal teams surgically redline contracts, draft clauses, and spot risks, all inside Word. You’ll work directly with our founding team and engineers to ship features that feel native to the legal workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software, ideally with editor experiences
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and React
• Experience with Office Add-ins, VS Code extensions, or similar embedded apps
• Deep understanding of real-time collaboration patterns in document apps
• Proven track record shipping polished, user-facing features

Responsibilities

• Build and refine our Microsoft Word Add-in
• Obsess over latency, reliability, and micro-interactions
• Architect the bridge between our AI backend and the Word document model
• Ship features like playbook-driven reviews and clause libraries
• Collaborate with our AI team to integrate model outputs into the workflow
