Job summary

HyAxiom, Inc. in South Windsor, CT, is seeking an experienced MBOP Engineer to lead mechanical component selection and testing for fuel cell powerplants and PEM water electrolyzers.

You will collaborate with suppliers to define specifications, develop custom components when needed, run performance and durability tests, document results, and ensure robust production release with proactive root‑cause analysis.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in mechanical/chemical engineering with 7–10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and heat exchangers.
• Professional Engineer license preferred and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Select mechanical components for MBOP and collaborate with suppliers.
• Develop component specifications from requirement documents and review with authors.
• Validate components and ensure documentation prior to production release.
• Troubleshoot component noncompliance in factory or field and drive root-cause analysis.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and continuously improve MBOP processes.
