We are seeking a highly talented customer facing engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility CAD modeling, pumping and piping systems, capital equipment specification and project management. The candidate will have their PE license or be on a path to obtain certification. This role will work under the direction of senior engineering staff inside and outside of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with account and site facility teams to develop plans for liquid cooled rack integration
  • Research capital equipment specs and engage with suppliers to evaluate product offerings against the technical requirements of a project or site
  • Conduct safety analysis and research to develop safety plans and procedures
  • Engage with site teams and local contractors to install systems that meet corporate standards
  • Work on instrumentation and measurement systems to capture Facility Cooling Loop data to be integrated into monitoring systems
  • Compose and update standards and procedures for setup, calibration and operation
  • Develop or maintain P&IDs and 3D models of facility piping systems
  • Collaborate with contractors as needed to develop analysis, customer presentations and 3D simulations of hydraulic piping systems
Qualifications and Skills
  • Project Management — Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions; coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to achieve program objectives; create project/change management plans to ensure delivery within time and budget; identify barriers and develop mitigation plans
  • Leadership — Demonstrate leadership behaviors; mentor and lead peer engineering teams; act as a subject-matter expert guiding teams in adopting best practices in electronics manufacturing
  • Creative Problem Solving — Employ innovative approaches to resolve complex manufacturing challenges; collaborate across departments to implement robust, cost-effective solutions; stay updated on industry trends
  • Customer Interaction/Stakeholder Management — Serve as the primary technical interface for internal and external customers; conduct technical reviews, process demonstrations, and progress presentations; build and maintain client relationships
  • Technical Skills — Minimum of 5 years in cooling system design and implementation (soldered cold plate technology and liquid cooling); experience in PCBA environment; familiarity with enclosed and facility-based cooling systems; knowledge of CDU technologies; knowledge of L6–L11 rack design and implementation
Physical Demands
  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment, may require extended periods of sitting and concentration
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required
  • Up to 50% travel required
Experience & Education
  • 7 to 10 years of related experience; CAD software and thermal simulation tools experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Professional certifications; PE, ASHRAE (note: kept as-is wording where applicable)
Salary

The salary range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company and may change based on factors including duties, credentials, experience, or geographic jurisdiction. Salary Range: $112k-$154k annually

Location

This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to candidates near any US locations including MA, PA, MN, TX, AZ, OR, CA or near major airports in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
