Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to engineering teams across multiple areas and own complete solutions throughout their life cycle
• Collaborate with product managers and team members to influence and build vision for complex enterprise-class business applications
• Ensure quality, usability, and performance of technology solutions
• Lead design sessions and code reviews to elevate engineering standards
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices to improve processes within and across teams

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience within a Java framework (J2EE, web containers, and Java)
• At least 4 years of experience in open-source frameworks
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with architecture and design of systems
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service for at least 3 years
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency and specialization in at least two modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
• Experience in building products using microservices-oriented architecture and REST APIs
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts and Azure DevOps Operational Framework
• Familiarity with application monitoring tools and performance assessments
• Strong problem-solving ability and capability to excel in a startup-like environment
