Job summary

HR Green, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Engineer in Training to join our water and wastewater team. You will work with experienced engineers on design projects, gaining mentorship and contributing to infrastructure improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. EIT certification or eligibility within six months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge and familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D preferred.
• Engineer-In-Training certification or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team and independently to learn, evaluate, and apply engineering principles, standards, and criteria.
• Assist the team in the design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping stations and treatment facilities.
• Conduct field visits as necessary for various projects.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members including CAD designers and other engineers.

• A candidate with 2 to 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• A candidate with proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• A candidate with knowledge and familiarity in AutoCAD and Civil3D is preferred.
• Possession of Engineer-In-Training certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
• Experience with water and wastewater facilities preferred.
