Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Staff Engineer II in Dallas/Irving to provide expert guidance across Azure Cosmos DB, security, governance and reliability. You will lead design and implementation across AI program workloads and partner with cloud and application teams.

You will develop operating models, define RBAC patterns, and design monitoring, documentation, and procedures to meet audit expectations. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise across Azure Cosmos DB and related cloud-native services for AI workloads.
• Establish secure access patterns, production readiness, and enterprise standards for security and audit readiness.
• Lead design and implementation of reliability and recovery procedures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and desktop procedures.
• Collaborate with AI delivery teams to ensure database services are reliable, secure, and compliant.
• Define operating models and ownership boundaries between teams for Cosmos DB support.
• Lead project planning and communicate technical designs to stakeholders.
