Samsung Electronics is seeking a Senior RAN Engineer to translate customer requirements into system design for 4G/5G networks, EMS, and NMS deployments. You will collaborate with SEA and Samsung HQ teams on new product rollouts.
Requires a Bachelor's in EE/ECE or related field with 5 years in telecom roles, expertise in RAN virtualization, OpenStack, ETSI MANO, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Netconf/YANG/RESTful, and 3GPP core/RAN. Up to 20% travel; sponsorship not available.
Responsible for analyzing the customer requirements, converting them into system requirements and capturing detailed design for the development team. Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product & SW releases. Perform detailed analysis of 4G/5G distributed and virtualized RAN, Network Management solution and professional services, both individually and in a team environment Wireless Call Protocols. Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting the issues. Provide subject matter expert technical support in the pre-sales process and create compelling technical and commercial solutions to help achieve the assigned sales goals and business objectives. Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and carriers' network business. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any telecom/engineer related job titles.
Applicant must have 5 years of experience in the following:
20% domestic travel required to visit US customer locations.
