Job summary

OpenEvidence seeks a world-class engineer to design the future of its platform inside clinical workflows and to lead technical and product direction for health system partners. This role shapes what OpenEvidence looks like when embedded in clinician environments and guides new capabilities to meet customer needs.

You will drive product roadmap decisions, engage with health system IT, security, and clinical leaders, and deliver concrete outcomes that impact millions of lives while maintaining

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional engineering experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Strong product judgment, especially around risk, reliability, and production changes.
• Ability to understand complex systems and quickly identify root causes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for both enterprise and clinical leadership.
• Preferred: health systems, EHR integrations, enterprise SaaS implementations.
• Preferred Location: In‑person SF, Miami or remote for stellar candidates willing to travel often.

Responsibilities

• Lead how OpenEvidence is designed, built, and launched inside health systems, from ideation to support.
• Make product and architectural decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Build enterprise product capabilities and scalable tools and processes.
• Uphold high standards for security, privacy, and reliability with health system partners.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, sales, support, legal, and partners to get it done.
