Job summary

G2 Consulting Group in Troy, MI is seeking full-time staff engineers with 0–4 years of demonstrated experience for its Construction Engineering Department. Staff engineers perform field inspections, coordinate investigations, and assist with laboratory testing and report preparation on multiple projects.

Responsibilities include construction observation, testing across earthwork, foundation, concrete, steel, masonry, and paving, plus the ability to work overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Three months to four years of demonstrated experience in construction engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work outside, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Represent G2 in a professional manner on assigned construction sites.
• Independently operate relevant equipment.
• Manage multiple projects for multiple project managers within budgets and deadlines.
• Assist and perform laboratory testing work under supervision.
