Job summary

SpaceXAI, a Palo Alto-based company, is building AI systems to understand the universe. Our RL infrastructure team looks for an engineer to develop evaluation infrastructure and scale our evaluations.

We operate with a flat structure where hands-on contributions and initiative shape leadership, and clear communication is expected across the team. You will build reliable infrastructure, collaborate with modeling and evaluation teams, and tackle bottlenecks across inference, capacity management,

Qualifications

• Experience building, debugging, and optimizing efficiency of large-scale distributed systems.
• Willingness to dive deep and solve hard problems at all levels of the stack.

Responsibilities

• Build highly reliable, efficient, and easy to use infrastructure that runs all evaluations at scale.
• Collaborate closely with modeling & evaluation teams on developing new evals and tooling to support training models.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the eval infrastructure stack, including inference and orchestration.
