Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. (ROI) is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical/Environmental engineer with 0–3 years of site experience to perform field inspections, lab checks, and reporting.

The role includes drilling oversight, environmental studies, and occasional out-of-state travel, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, OSHA HAZWOPER, and an EIT or ability to become registered within six months; NFQA certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 0–3 years in site civil, geotechnical or environmental engineering; internship preferred.
• Experience inspecting compacted fills, footings, ground improvement, deep foundations and sitework elements.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• EIT preferred or ability to become registered within six months.
• AIC/NICET/NJ DCA Special Inspector and Nuclear Densometer certification a plus.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to access job sites.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, MS Word, Excel and Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Conducts site inspections to monitor progress and conformance to specs.
• Leads concrete and rebar inspection testing.
• Prepares geologic reports and maps; interprets research data.
• Oversees drilling of exploratory borings and monitoring wells.
• Travels 25%–100% to sites as needed.
