Applied Engineering seeks an Electrical Design Engineer for a remote role. You will lead electrical design and validation across major subsystems, translating requirements into robust electrical solutions.

Own schematics, BOMs, and testing, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a BS in EE, ~5+ years of industrial electrical design experience, and strong knowledge of power systems, controls, and standards.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in electrical design or electromechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, conversion, monitoring, controls, and system integration.
• Experience designing specifications for switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, loadbanks, and generators.
• Experience selecting and validating electrical components using NEC, UL, and industry derating criteria.
• Proven experience with design documentation, reviews, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of design standards, manufacturability, safety, and compliance practices.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electrical power solutions.
• Ability to specify safe and effective prototype testing practices.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, ETAP, SKM, or similar tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to travel up to 20% within the USA.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, and engineering data management systems preferred.
• Desire to work on a variety of projects.
