Summary

The Staff Engineer, Electrical Design develops new electrical systems and circuits for various applications, researches system ideas, and creates plans, schematics, and system specifications. The engineer tests, simulates, validates, and qualifies their systems, making adjustments as needed, and supports manufacturing throughout production.

Detailed Description

• Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects, involving multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling.
• Provides technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers. May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas.
• Takes responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.).
• Reviews and interprets customer requirements/specifications and may act as primary customer contract.
• Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions. Develops deployment strategies and plans.
• Leads the deployment of strategic complex programs and coordinates site-wide deployment efforts.
• May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. E.g. creation of schematics, bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
• Testing, simulation and measuring (including troubleshooting) the performance of systems.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
• Solve complex problems.
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
• Analyze and interpret data and information.
• Recommend modifications for systems.
• Create reports, minutes and updates.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

Salary Range and Benefits Summary

The salary range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including by not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate. Salary Range: $118k-$162k Annually. Celestica provides eligible employees (those who are scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week) with a range of benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits and a 401k plan with company match.
