Job Summary


We are seeking to hire a Staff Engineer Distribution Quality who will be responsible for ensuring that all distribution operations meet or exceed quality standards. The successful candidate will oversee the development of processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective distribution practices while maintaining high levels of quality control. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in the distribution process. Additionally, they will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution quality and take corrective action when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective distribution practices while maintaining high levels of quality control.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in the distribution process.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution quality and take corrective action when necessary.

  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for distributing products.

  • Review and analyze data on product returns to identify trends and patterns.

  • Work closely with suppliers to address any issues related to product quality.

  • Participate in quality assurance activities such as inspections, testing, and validation.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with ERP systems.

  • Five years' experience with ISO 13485, certification preferred.

  • Experience with the management of the environmental monitoring systems.

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO standards related to medical device manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of software validations; equipment validations; change controls; and equipment qualifications.

Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
