Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior engineering leader to own and continuously improve the end-to-end developer experience across build, test, and deployment systems. You will guide the evolution of a large JavaScript/TypeScript monorepo supporting 50+ engineers and push for faster CI flows, scalable architectures, and robust testing infrastructures.

You will implement, scale, and maintain TurboRepo, Bazel, and Nx, while partnering with product teams to reduce friction and accelerate iterations.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of professional experience in backend engineering, developer productivity engineering, platform engineering, or related software engineering disciplines.
• Extensive experience with developer tooling, build systems, monorepo infrastructure, or internal engineering platforms.
• Proven ability to support engineering organizations scaling from approximately 40 to more than 100 engineers.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystems, including modern development workflows and tooling.
• Strong understanding of systems design, software architecture, and distributed systems behavior.
• Hands-on experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines, build performance, testing infrastructure, and developer workflows.
• Practical experience implementing, maintaining, or scaling monorepo and build technologies such as TurboRepo, Bazel, or Nx.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Previous experience in high-growth startups or technically sophisticated engineering organizations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify complex engineering challenges and develop scalable solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and promote engineering-wide standards for code quality, testing practices, and software release processes.
• Drive technical initiatives that increase productivity across the organization, acting as a force multiplier for engineering teams.
