Job summary

Wispr in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Engineer to own the architecture of our macOS platform and build its screen-context engine. You will solve hard desktop systems problems and create primitives that improve Flow on macOS.

You’ll work on performance, cross-application reliability, and privacy, setting direction across accessibility and native integrations. Prior work with voice or ML is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building a desktop platform on macOS.
• Shipped production code for a desktop application.
• Ability to diagnose and fix cross-process and cross-app issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the macOS platform and screen-context engine.
• Set technical direction across accessibility, memory, and background behavior.
• Resolve performance, correctness, and cross-application failures.
• Turn OS-specific knowledge into durable foundations for other engineers.
