Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Data Integration based in the United States to build connectors and parsers for a data intelligence platform. You will transform extracted metadata into accurate lineage and dependency models, enabling customers to understand migration risks and trust the data.

You will work across legacy ETL platforms, databases, cloud systems, and proprietary formats, owning architecture, implementation, testing, and technical direction in a fast-moving AI-first

Qualifications

• Experience with data integration and metadata management in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on ETL tooling and SQL parsing experience.
• Ability to reverse engineer undocumented systems.
• Professional TypeScript development experience and automated testing practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools as part of lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust connectors for legacy ETL platforms, databases, modern cloud data systems, and other enterprise technologies.
• Develop parsers for XML, SQL, repository exports, scripts, and vendor formats.
• Transform extracted metadata into lineage, dependency, and transformation models.
• Create automated tests, validation frameworks, and known-good datasets.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve the connector framework and patterns.
• Reverse engineer unfamiliar systems to understand structures, dependencies, and transformation logic.
• Integrate AI into engineering workflows while owning final output quality.
• Contribute to a fast-moving product environment with shipping and validation.
