NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a Staff Engineer to support Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects in Charleston, SC. Key duties include field engineering, data reduction and analysis, site work, and report preparation for a range of commercial and government projects.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program; 0–2 years of geotechnical or CMT/SI experience is a plus.

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Staff Engineer to work on Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects in Charleston, SC.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office projects (Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
• Assisting with project management & reporting
• Field supervision of CMT /SI and Geotechnical Projects
• Report preparation
• Client consultation and maintenance

The preferred candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation is required.
• 0 - 2 years of experience in geotechnical, construction materials testing or special inspections is a plus, not required
• ACI, ICC, SCDOT or other related certifications a plus
• EIT or ability to obtain within 3 - 6 month
