• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and geotechnical plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a highly skilled Senior CMT Engineering Technician with active ICC Soils Special Inspector and ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certifications. This individual will perform advanced construction materials testing and special inspections while serving as a technical resource for project teams and junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced field testing, observations, and special inspections of soils, reinforced concrete, masonry, and related construction materials.
• Verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct density testing, concrete sampling, reinforcing steel inspections, and foundation observations.
• Prepare accurate and detailed inspection reports.
• Communicate findings to clients, contractors, and project managers.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and inspectors.

Required

• Active ICC Soils Special Inspector certification.
• Active ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification.
• 4+ years of construction materials testing and inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and geotechnical plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I.
• Additional ICC certifications (Masonry, Fireproofing, Structural Steel, Post-Tensioned Concrete).
• DOT certifications.
• Experience leading projects or mentoring technicians.
