The Advanced Concepts and Technologies (AC&T) group of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Semiconductor/RF Test Engineer for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) located outside of Baltimore, Maryland. Northrop Grumman’s ATL semiconductor foundry supports a range of production microelectronic devices and provides leading-edge technology development in superconducting electronics. We are looking for you to join our team as Staff Engineer Circuit Design based out of Linthicum, MD.
ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. The candidate must be a strong team participant with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of semiconductor technology and microelectronic manufacturing test methodologies.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The Senior Staff Engineer Circuit Design will support development and execution of RF MMIC and SOC test for multiple technologies including GaAs/GaN/SiGe. Responsibilities include understanding the test requirements, documenting the test plan, and developing the software and hardware solutions necessary. Administrative and technical responsibilities include test software and hardware development, daily and forward-looking test scheduling, test data integrity, equipment/software improvements, and supporting the procurement of both expense and capital test equipment.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring configuration control of test software and hardware, test quality, test documentation quality, test equipment calibration, and compliance to customer documents.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Engineer Circuit Design:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related technical area with at least 12 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with at least 10 years; or PhD with at least 7 years of relevant experience in RF/Digital manufacturing test development.
Software programming experience required.
US Citizenship Required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Preferred Qualifications Staff Engineer Circuit Design:
Semiconductor testing experience - MMIC wafer level RF test, SOC RF and functional/SCAN/Memory BIST pattern testing, test board design and layout.
Experience with Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, Device Handlers and/or Wafer Probers, NI PXIe digital logic drivers and/or FPGA platforms.
Experience with operating Systems such as UNIX and Windows.
Programming experience with: C++, Visual Basic, Perl, and/or Verilog.
Active/current secret clearance.
Salary Range: $163,200 - $244,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
