Job summary

Alaffia Health in New York, NY is seeking a Staff Engineer to solve cross-team technical challenges and set architectural direction. You will translate strategic goals into technical roadmaps, lead execution, and champion AI-augmented development practices.

You will architect and own delivery of high-impact systems, set coding standards, drive AI tool adoption, and mentor senior engineers while partnering with product and business leaders on technical strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering leadership on large-scale projects.
• Expert-level proficiency in TS, Python, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD; Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own delivery of complex, high-impact systems spanning multiple teams.
• Set technical direction and coding standards across the org.
• Drive AI coding tool adoption (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) and measure productivity gains.
• Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with product and business leaders on technical strategy.
