Staff Software Engineer, Product Quality (AI DevTool Start-Up)
$240,000 – $290,000 + Equity + Benefits + PTO
On-site in San Francisco, CA
Are you a senior engineer who takes pride in making quality automatic at scale, without slowing down how fast a team ships? Are you looking to join a fast-moving, highly profitable (8-figure ARR) start-up whilst working at true enterprise scale?
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, profitable startup at the forefront of AI infrastructure, building the compliance and reliability layer that enterprise customers like Adobe, Netflix, and NASA depend on in production. Backed by top-tier investors, the team has built the world's most widely used LLM Gateway, a unified platform that gives developers secure, scalable access to every major LLM provider. Now, they're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to own product quality across a surface area spanning 100+ provider integrations and a large volume of outside contributions.
As a staff-level hire, you'll build the conformance testing, CI, and release infrastructure that catches problems before they reach production, and set the bar on the code paths that matter most, through code and review, not process documents.
If you're looking for a role where deep technical ownership, in the codebase, not in meetings, directly drives product quality at scale, whilst benefiting from strong equity in an already profitable company before they raise their Series A, this is an outstanding opportunity.
