Our proprietary natural language processing capabilities transform unstructured data into meaningful experiences that increase productivity with accuracy and speed.

As a Staff Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the design, architectural planning, and coding of a groundbreaking new initiative within our product engineering domain on a front-end facing team. You will lead the technical strategy and execution for extensive and intricate requirements, applying forward-thinking and insightful methods that impact the entire engineering function and address large, multifaceted challenges.

Your role will extend to establishing a visionary direction for the strategic advancement of methodologies, techniques, and evaluation criteria. You will advise and guide the team spearheading this new initiative, delegating responsibilities to seasoned technical leaders to ensure its success.

You will proactively identify and rectify communication gaps and issues, promote alignment on complex matters among diverse audiences, and influence organizational goals and strategies. A crucial aspect of your role will be becoming a trusted coach and mentor, actively nurturing new leadership talent within Pryon by providing continuous feedback and guidance.

In This Role, You Will
  • Architect, design, and develop software that enables Pryon’s customers to manage critical operations that impact the sustainability and efficiency of their business
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to build products, tools, and solutions, and ensure the user experience meets release criteria
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve across platform
  • Recommend and maintain technical design methodologies, processes and standards
  • Set technical direction for the squad, oversee development to ensure quality and timely delivery, mentor and guide the team, and manage technical risks
  • Participate on cross-functional design teams to develop expertise in other modules/systems
What You\'ll Need to Be Successful
  • A minimum of 7 years of extensive engineering experience
  • Proficiency in coding using functional or imperative programming languages, such as Golang
  • Proficiency in front-end engineering, including hands-on experience with React and Typescript
  • Demonstrated track record of contributing to and leading the successful delivery of impactful product features across all phases of development, from initial research and UX design to prototyping, testing, and development
  • Proven experience in taking ownership of technical architecture discussions and guiding critical technical decisions for an engineering organization
  • Experience with distributed systems deployed in Kubernetes (K8S)
  • Ability to produce clear, testable code with a focus on long-term maintainability
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and communication
  • A "startup mentality" with previous experience in startup environments
  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training, fellowships, or work experience
  • Previous experience as a tech lead is required
Compensation

$200,000 - $215,000 a year

Actual cash compensation may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, location and experience. The range listed is just one component of Pryon\'s compensation package.
