Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer with the Software Engineering organization based out of Manhattan Beach, CA.
*Please be aware that this position will be contingent upon capturing program award, obtaining customer funding, and holding final clearances (if applicable) prior to start date.*
The Staff Embedded Software Engineer will develop software which will operate in a resource constrained target environment with soft and hard real time requirements for various flight/space/ground systems. The software will typically implement complex data analysis, data routing, and/or control systems algorithms. Candidate will need familiarity with various processor, memory, and I/O architectures and be able to implement both procedural and object-oriented software in C++. Candidate will work with real-time operating systems, such as Linux or VxWorks, and their associated host/development environments and tools. The selected candidate must be comfortable working in a lab environment.
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
The Staff Embedded Software Engineer should have academic and work experience in software engineering and development across the full life cycle for multiple domains and systems such as aerospace programs, embedded systems, test set/special test equipment, or ground system applications. The role requires experience working in a process-oriented environment utilizing waterfall, spiral, or agile processes. The selected candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong team building skills, and comfortable working on large teams with engineers from other engineering disciplines. The selected candidate will also provide technical leadership for early-career team members.

Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
