Job summary

Cobot is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer in Santa Clara, on-site. You will lead the production embedded software, writing and reviewing production-grade C++, and collaborating with hardware, systems, controls, safety and test teams.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes reliable, time-critical firmware with Diagnostics and fault-handing, plus mentoring of the embedded software team. U.S. work authorization required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded or firmware software experience.
• Strong C++ and hands-on development for complex hardware.
• Experience with microcontrollers/SoCs, drivers, and hardware bring-up.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain production embedded software using C++.
• Develop firmware, device drivers, diagnostics, and fault-handling mechanisms.
• Own software from requirements through integration, verification, release, and field support.
• Lead root-cause investigations and drive architectural improvements.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with hardware, controls, safety, and test teams.
