Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for the Hardware Platform Services team in San Jose to design and deliver cloud hardware software for compute, storage, AI servers and networking switches.

You will own drivers and software for CPU/GPU systems, mentor engineers, and ensure production-grade code quality. Strong C/C++, embedded systems, Linux kernel, BIOS/BMC, and high-speed interfaces are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in C/C++ and embedded systems.
• 5+ years in hardware bring-up and debugging interfaces (CPU/GPU data centers).
• Experience with PCIe, USB, DDR, MIPI, Ethernet.
• Experience in Linux kernel bring-up and driver development.
• Knowledge of BIOS, BMC, Secure Boot and RTOS.
• Device driver experience (PCIe, I2C).

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and provide technical solutions across the system.
• Design and implement drivers and application software for next-gen CPU/GPU data-center systems.
• Develop, augment and maintain software libraries for computing on CPU/GPU.
• Mentor and coach team members on technical approaches.
• Review and maintain code quality for production.
