Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to design and optimize platform software for ADAS and autonomous driving. You will perform board bring-up, develop device drivers, and lead camera bring-up with ISP integration.

The role requires Linux or QNX experience, RTOS background, and strong C/C++ skills. Collaboration with hardware and systems teams is essential to ensure robust, secure, and production-ready software across Lucid’s next‑generation vehicles.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of embedded software development for complex systems.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and low-level platform development.
  • Solid experience with board bring-up and device driver development, including interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs.
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Preferred: Advanced C++ application development; ADAS or autonomous driving experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize embedded platform software for automotive ADAS and autonomous driving systems

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development for complex systems
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux and/or QNX kernel, BSP, and low‑level platform development
  • Solid experience with board bring‑up and device driver development, including interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, PCIe, RGMII, SGMII, and camera ISPs
  • Experience working with real‑time operating systems (RTOS)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced C++ application development experience
  • Prior experience in ADAS or autonomous driving systems
  • Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics, datasheets, and reference designs
  • Experience with bootloaders, secure boot, firmware update mechanisms, and UDS diagnostics
  • Strong understanding of embedded security concepts, including cryptographic hardware, key management, and certificate management

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$179,400—$263,120 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits packageincluding medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a401(k) retirementplan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.Eligible employees may alsoparticipatein Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, aredeterminedbased on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results,in accordance withthe terms of the applicable plans.
