Job summary

ALSO is seeking a Staff Electrical Test Engineer in Manufacturing to lead EE module test strategies and data collection for new product launches. You will develop test coverage, work with design teams to enhance testability, and validate PCBAs and modules using automated systems.

You will guide test fixture development, collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers, and provide hands-on support for production lines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in planning and executing robust EE module test programs in factory environments.
• Experience delivering electronics solutions from concept to mass production.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics and RF test methods.
• Hands-on with oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs and automated test equipment.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and programming (Python, LabVIEW, C/C++).
• Experience with PCB debugging, soldering/rework and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with MES systems and manufacturing analytics; HALT/HASS reliability testing.

Staff Electrical Test Engineer, Manufacturing

to play a key role within our EE Design and Manufacturing teams, strategizing and executing EE module test procedures, equipment, and data collection to support effective, high-quality new product launches.

What You'll Do

• Play a key role within the EE Design and Manufacturing teams by strategizing and executing EE module test procedures, equipment, and data collection to support effective, high-quality new product launches
• Develop electrical design requirements into effective test strategies and test coverage plans, and partner with design engineering to influence testability early in the design process
• Specify, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for PCBAs, modules, and end products
• Support developing test fixtures, jigs, and interfaces for repeatable and reliable measurements, including selecting critical components for a variety of test fixtures
• Work with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to align on test requirements and standardization, acting as the primary interface between electrical design engineering and contract manufacturers
• Provide hands‑on support for production test lines, troubleshooting test failures, and performing root‑cause analysis
• Drive continuous improvement in test yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency
• Develop test procedures, work instructions, and operator training materials
• Implement data collection and statistical analysis to monitor process capability and product reliability, and support failure analysis and corrective actions for returned or failed products
• Provide status updates in program meetings and to leadership

What You'll Bring

• Proven track record (5+ years) of planning and executing robust EE module test programs, particularly in factory environments with appropriate level of automation and reporting
• Proven track record (5+ years) of delivering breakthrough electronics solutions from concept to mass production, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Knowledge of analog, digital, power electronics, and RF test methods
• Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, and automated test equipment (ATE)
• Proficiency in test automation tools and programming (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C/C++)
• Experience with PCB debugging, soldering/rework, and failure analysis
• Familiarity with MES systems and manufacturing analytics tools, as well as reliability and environmental stress testing (HALT, HASS)
• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and global teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced development and manufacturing environment
• Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or aerospace is a plus

The salary for this position ranges from $190,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
