Job Overview

Position Overview

As a Staff R&D/Product Development Engineer in our Advanced Technology team, you will be instrumental in advancing cable and interconnect assembly innovations. Your focus will be researching, identifying, and implementing emerging technologies and market trends, contributing to the strategic technology roadmap for cable-based products. Collaboration with global cross-functional teams and subject matter experts will be key. This role is based at our Wilsonville, OR facility, working alongside teams in Oregon, Minnesota, Ireland, and India.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Lead multiple advanced technology projects from concept to transfer, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and industry standards. Translate industry and customer insights into technical roadmaps.
  • Innovation & Development: Serve as the subject matter expert on cable and interconnect development, including analog and digital interconnect design, modeling, and testing.
  • Design & Analysis: Utilize modeling and simulation tools, perform high-speed signal characterization, and apply transmission line theory. Experience with electromagnetic simulations (Ansys HFSS, Maxwell, SI Wave) and embedded systems programming is preferred.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with global teams to ensure project success, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop engineering documents, test plans, and ensure adherence to medical device regulations and quality standards.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and technical growth.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years' experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Relevant experience in medical device development preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical interconnect and cable modeling, simulation, and testing.
  • Proficiency in design and analysis tools, interpretive skills for data analysis, and project leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across geographies.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with catheter-based medical devices and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of EMI/RFI characterization of cables and connectors.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $141,400 - $212,200, depending on location and experience.
