Form Energy is hiring a Staff Control Panel Designer to impact development and validation of our groundbreaking battery technology. You will own the full lifecycle of industrial control panel design—from schematic development to vendor coordination and high-voltage validation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 7+ years experience.
• Master's degree with 5+ years experience.
• Proficiency in EPLAN or equivalent panel design software.
• Experience designing panels to NEC and UL 508A.
• HV testing procedures experience and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of branch protection coordination, wire sizing, and power conversion integration.
• Experience managing third-party panel fabrication vendors.
• Familiarity with PLM, Jira, and Jama for product development and requirements.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design control panels in compliance with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A.
• Develop complete schematic, layout and BOM using EPLAN.
• Select components including connectors, wire harnesses, protection devices, and power conversion devices.
• Choose components rated for 600V AC and 2000V DC HV applications.
• Collaborate with third-party panel vendors to translate design intent into assemblies.
• Execute and oversee HV testing procedures including hipot, insulation resistance, and functional validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on enclosure, thermal management and integration.
• Support DFMEA activities for panel-level risk mitigation.
