Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components and systems.

You will provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and present at PDR/CDR/TIMs, contributing to complex HW architectures and verification activities. The role emphasizes FPGA/DSP implementations, high-speed firmware, and experience with XILINX tools, MATLAB, Simulink, and hardware testing across board-level designs.

Staff Electrical Design Engineer

TTM is seeking a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to lead the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis related to the design, development and implementation.


• Review/Interpret Customer Requirements/Customer Contracts.


• Perform interpretation/verification of SDS requirements as allocated to Hardware CIs.


• Requirement Validation Negotiation Allocation Testability Design Decisions


• Develop complex system‑level Hardware architecture, including design partitioning and component selection – FPGA, critical components


• Implement high speed Digital Signal Processing (DSP) functions in an FPGA (digital filters, FFT…)


• Perform trade studies (DARs)


• Generate/direct generation of HRS for HWCI within system architecture.


• Allocate Hardware Requirements to HWCI Document Test Environment


• Develop HW Verification Matrix - HRS requirement consumption verification


• Develop hardware design, develop FW and unit test more complex constructs


• Responsible for hardware integration and test of the HWCI circuit including Firmware implementation


• Provide analysis of system data (from HW perspective); perform timing analysis; perform bus bandwidth analysis


• Provide technical direction to and mentor other electrical engineers.


• Present at PDR, CDR, TIMs (both internal and customer)


• Generate hardware schedule for cost/schedule


• Develop electrical engineering estimates for new proposals


• Lead groups of electrical engineers through development tasks


• Perform technical reviews of design and code to ensure design integrity

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $149,978 - $263,755

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
