Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. invites motivated electrical engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship. You will design and simulate analog and digital circuits, learn manufacturing/testing processes, and work with engineers and technicians on meaningful programs.

Under supervision, you’ll use CAD tools to layout circuits, review designs, and prepare presentations for design reviews, gaining real-world experience in a top PCB manufacturer.

Qualifications

  • Majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering with related coursework.
  • Fundamental knowledge of analog/digital design and SPICE.
  • Experience with CAD tools for circuit layout is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently or in a team on program tasks.
  • Collaborate with interns, technicians, and engineers on projects.
  • Review designs before release and prepare gated design reviews.
  • Design and evaluate electrical circuits.
  • Review manufacturing approaches and limitations.
  • Identify and evaluate new components for designs.
  • Utilize CAD software to implement circuit layouts.

We are looking for talented and highly motivated individuals to assist our electrical engineering team with the design and development of leading-edge products for military and space-based applications.

Under direct supervision, you will design and simulate circuits and gain knowledge in analog and digital design, manufacturing, and testing.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work independently or within a team environment.
  • Work with other interns, technicians, and engineers on specific program tasks.
  • Perform reviews before design release.
  • Prepare presentations for gated design reviews.
  • Design and evaluate electrical circuits.
  • Review manufacturing approach and evaluate limitations against current designs.
  • Identify and evaluate new components for use in designs.
  • Utilize CAD software to implement and review circuit layout.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
  • A basic understanding and strong interest in analog and digital electronics.
  • Circuit simulation using SPICE.
  • Logic simulation using Modelsim (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Capable of working on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Actively pursues opportunities to expand job-related knowledge.

Education and Experience
  • Majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Microelectronics coursework preferred.
  • PCB design experience using Altium desired.

This internship is for Summer 2027.

Compensation

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $51,621 - $81,595

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment.

Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents;
  • b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation;
  • c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL);
  • d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US;
  • e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
