Job Summary

Staff Education: A professional educator collaborates with employees and managers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate orientation, continuing education, and in-service programs at both individual and organizational levels. They assist staff in providing family and community education as needed. They provide individual and group instruction on responsibilities within clinical and non-clinical departments, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with standards, guidelines, and regulations. They work with leadership to identify educational needs, design interventions, and facilitate programs to maintain staff competencies.

Employee Health Nurse: Responsible for overseeing the employee health program, ensuring immunization compliance, and maintaining workplace safety standards. Participates in developing policies and procedures for employee healthcare, serving as a resource through consultation, education, and research to improve employee health services.

Job Qualifications

• Must be a licensed registered nurse in Kansas with several years of experience.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Prefer certification as a Nurse Educator within two years of employment.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills required.
• Must hold BLS, PALS, & ACLS certifications.
• Staff Education Coordinator to become an AHA Faculty Member and BLS instructor.
