Join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and implementation of innovative imaging/video processing algorithms, Dolby Vision, and related technologies. Your work will contribute to our overall product and technology roadmap.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead the development and execution of a complete test initiative for innovative Dolby Imaging/Video algorithms and software.
  • Define, develop and orchestrate testing of new technical architectures to support the strategic imaging technology innovation pipeline across all ecosystems and in all device categories.
  • Test proof-of-concepts in emerging imaging technologies in order to productize and deliver high-performance, high-quality software libraries.
  • Thrive in fast-paced working environment; Agile teamwork experience is a plus.
  • Lead a small team of test engineers.
  • Collaborate with development, product owners and research teams to execute the testing, including hardware, software, and automation environments.
  • Follow best practices for source control development, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management.
  • Produce and maintain useful and usable documentation of work.
  • Partner with technical writers to provide and review technical data relating to documentation for the SDK going into technical publication.
Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience with Picture Quality (PQ) and/or Image Signal Processing (ISP)
  • 8+ years of experience in professional imaging and or system and application engineering.
  • Extensive experience deploying and maintaining test automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in coding with Python.
  • `High level of experience in test planning, design and reporting.
  • Key understanding of all aspects of software testing process, bug tracking and reporting.
  • Experience testing applications related to computer graphics, computer vision, image processing and/or video processing is required.
  • Microsoft Windows and/or Linux experience is required.
  • Passion for multimedia technologies
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Energetic and curious collaborator.
  • Experience with CUDA, OpenCV and OpenMP.
  • Experience testing C/C++.
  • Experience with Git and Jira.
  • Knowledge of video technologies, cinema and television production and post-production workflows.
  • Knowledge of HDR technologies such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $165,600 - $227,400,which can vary if outside this location,plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
