Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a senior Product Manager to drive the PC chipset product across its lifecycle—from market analysis to OEM collaboration and device launches.

You will shape product strategy, lead cross‑functional teams, and develop robust business cases for next‑generation compute devices. The role requires deep PC processor domain knowledge, at least 5 years in product management, and experience influencing roadmap decisions with senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • In‑depth understanding of PC (Desktop, Laptop, All‑In‑One, Small Form Factor) processor market – key processor vendors, OEMs, ODMs, channel partners etc.
  • Direct a comprehensive PC chipset processor product strategy from product conception, definition and execution through end of life.
  • Identify gaps in PC market based on complex analyses of market, customer, technology, and other ecosystem demands and provide this information to guide design and definition conversations.
  • Strategize and promote use of new technologies, industry‑leading trends and disruptive strategies to gain Snapdragon share in laptop, desktops, all‑in‑one and other compute categories.
  • Direct those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products.
  • Own the PC chipset product from beginning to end of the life—encompassing modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product or product line.
  • Lead team collaboration in the creation of business cases and validate cases for development of a new, complex product to ensure they are appropriate given business direction and ask appropriate questions to understand relevance of program to roadmap.
  • Market new and complex products and technologies through technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and drive product launch efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver highly complex technical presentations regarding a product roadmap that explains and demonstrates products managed to customers.
  • Translate customer feedback and external environment into potential changes for the differentiated product roadmap and communicate this to senior leaders – GM & EXC staff.
  • Direct and oversee the development of highly complex products or new product areas and services, independently; maintain communication with individuals across functional teams.
  • Hold self and team accountable for remaining up to date on competitors, technological advances, and the product ecosystem and take the lead on development and design innovation of new and complex products to articulate differentiation of products to customer and identify trends.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership following a communication plan to ensure cross‑functional understanding of product plans for a product line.
  • Ensure successful cross‑functional collaboration by ensuring that agreed upon KPIs and specifications are met for a new, complex product(s), upon delivery by engineering team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals (e.g., performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), discuss product feasibility, and facilitate cross‑functional decision making for products they own.

The Compute Chipset Product Management team is part of QCT’s Product Management organization and manages the Windows on Snapdragon portfolio—a set of Snapdragon products used for laptops, notebooks, all‑in‑one devices, and other compute devices. This role leads the compute chipset product through the entire lifecycle, from market analysis and product positioning to engineering trade‑off collaboration, business case development, and OEM partnership for portfolio design‑ins and successful device launches.


Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

  • 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 15+ years in PC Processors / laptop Processors Product Management.

  • In‑depth experience of PC / laptop semiconductor industry & ecosystem.

  • Direct experience as PC silicon Product Manager interacting with customers, device makers and ODMs.

  • MBA is preferred.


Compensation

Pay range: $196,000.00 – $294,000.00. The company also offers a competitive annual discretionary bonus program, annual RSU grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
