Shield AI is seeking a Senior/Staff DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement security across AWS infrastructure and container workloads. Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience for Senior Engineer or 7+ years for Staff Engineer.
• Experience implementing security controls in AWS or another major cloud environment.
• Infrastructure-as-code and automated provisioning experience.
• Experience securing containerized workloads and hardened images.
• Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD or software delivery systems.
• Experience with vulnerability management, dependency & container scanning.
• Experience implementing identity, secrets, and access controls in cloud/engineering envs.
• Automating security tasks using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Ability to diagnose security/configuration issues across infra, containers and platforms.
• Experience collaborating with security and engineering teams on shared controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across AWS infrastructure and services.
• Build and maintain hardened container images for prod workloads.
• Integrate vulnerability, container, and configuration scanning in CI/CD.
• Automate security checks to reduce manual reviews and ensure consistency.
• Implement secrets management, IAM controls, and access governance.
• Provide audit evidence and compliance reporting mechanisms.
• Identify security weaknesses and drive remediation with owning teams.
• Translate security requirements into scalable engineering controls.
• Collaborate with Build/Cloud Eng to preserve reliability and flow.
