Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Software and DevOps engineers to join our team in Austin. This role significantly impacts the engineering experience at Arm!

Platform Engineering provides essential tools and systems for creating our software and hardware IP. The Software & DevOps team focuses on DevOps tooling used across the company’s engineering teams, enhancing their productivity and efficiency.

As a Staff Engineer at Arm, you will own technical deliveries from requirements through to planning, implementation, and deployment, with a passion for improving engineers' daily lives and focusing on delivering solutions aligned with business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work with various technologies to provide a first-class engineering experience for Arm's hardware and software engineers.
• Optimize GitLab for reliability and performance.
• Develop software build and test solutions using CI/CD, binary, secret, and test management.
• Create services using SaaS, cloud environments, and large-scale clustered computing.
• Utilize cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Enhance the daily productivity of engineers across Arm.
• Lead major project deliveries.

Our activities include development and operational work, supporting and guiding the engineering community on service utilization. Projects vary from minor improvements to multi-month strategic initiatives, with significant collaboration across teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Linux-based infrastructure design, provisioning, and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
• Proficiency with SDLC tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD.
• Programming skills in interpreted languages (Python, Ruby) and compiled languages (Golang).

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in Platform Engineering focusing on developer experience and automation.
