Renaissance Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center in Staatsburg, NY is seeking a Staff Development / Infection Control Nurse (RN). This dual-role position blends education, leadership, and infection prevention to elevate patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on clinical support, education, and guidance to nursing staff.
• Identify training needs and shape the future of our clinical team.
• Develop and lead in-service programs; track participation and completion.
• Coordinate orientation and mentorship programs for all nursing staff (including EMR training).
• Maintain accurate records of all educational activities.
• Lead and manage the facility's Infection Control Program.
• Keep infection prevention resources current and accessible.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure compliance and safety.
• Prepare monthly reports with findings, corrective actions, and outcomes.
• Ensure timely reporting of communicable diseases to health authorities.
