Clinton Place is seeking a Director of Clinical Education/ Infection Control Nurse to join the team!

The SDC/ Infection Control Nurse is responsible for managing and implementing Infection Control measures. The role ensures consistent adherence to quality standards of care and compliance with policies and procedures in resident/client care.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Support the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the nursing service department and its programs, in accordance with current regulations.
  2. Maintain current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices.
  3. Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
  4. Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure comprehensive care.
  5. Determine staffing needs for the nursing department to meet residents' needs.
  6. Supervise and assist in scheduling staff within state guidelines.
  7. Ensure direct nursing care is provided by licensed nurses, CNAs, GNA/CMA, or qualified nurse aides.
  8. Review nurses’ notes for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to residents’ wishes.
  9. Incorporate training materials into in-service programs as needed.
  10. Lead in setting goals and objectives for educational programs at the center.
Job Requirements
  1. Current RN license in Kentucky.
  2. Experience in supervision and teaching principles.
  3. Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing preferred.
  4. Ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate necessary knowledge and skills.
  5. Supportive team player with strong communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and regulations relevant to nursing care facilities.
